This is beyond cruel. Young children are being tricked into playing a fiery game called; “Fire Fairy”. This innocent girl suffered horrific and serious burns and her entire family was in danger while they slept:

Reports have emerged from Russia regarding a disturbing and potentially fatal “game” that young children — particularly girls — are being tricked into playing via messages directed toward them on social media.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, the “game” involves the children reciting some “magic words” and turning on the gas burners of a stovetop in order to become a “fire fairy.” The scam is modeled after characters from a popular animated children’s program called “Winx Club: School of Witches.”

A 5-year-old girl named Sofia Ezhova was recently severely burned on much of her body after following the directions of the horrifying “game,” the Daily Mail reported.

The directions in the colorful social media post state: “At midnight when everybody is asleep, get up from your bed and go around the room three times, then say the magical words: ‘Alfey kingdom, sweet little fairies, give me the power, I’m asking you’. Then go to the kitchen silently, so no one notices you or the magic of the words will disappear. Switch on the gas stove, all four burners. But do not light it. You don’t want to get burns, do you?”

“Then go to sleep,” the instructions concluded. “The magic gas will come to you, you will breathe it while sleeping and in the morning, when you wake up, say: ‘Thank you Alfeya, I’ve become a fairy.’ And you will become a real fairy of fire.”

Obviously, turning on the gas on a stove and leaving it running without ignition could potentially fill a house with gas and suffocate everyone, that is, if some sort of spark didn’t first occur to cause a massive fiery explosion.

According to the U.K. Metro, Russian officials are torn on the ultimate goal of the “game,” as some investigators believe it is designed to subtly encourage children to commit suicide, while the Russian version of the FBI thinks that the scam may be intended to spread panic among parents.

The appalling ‘game’ was highlighted by police following complaints from parents in the Vladimir region of Russia, said Lt-Col Andrei Tutuev.

State investigator Irina Minina warned: ‘It could be some kind of ‘suicide game’. We are searching for those who are spreading these messages.’

The Russian Investigative Committee – equivalent of the FBI – believes the real aim may be to spark panic among parents.

The sickening social media scam is created to look like a harmless prank modeled on popular animated series ‘Winx Club: School of Witches’. But children are told that if they turn on the gas burners on their stove and repeat ‘magical words’, they will become ‘fire fairies’

The creators of the Winx Club, a company called Rainbow, are now calling for authorities to find out who is behind the scam and prosecute them criminally, according to the The U.K. Sun.

Rainbow CEO Ignio Straffi said, “Rainbow deeply regrets the distribution of material, which apparently contains instructions for committing suicide and uses Winx Club characters. The company Rainbow, which products are aimed at promoting the values of kindness in children, is shocked by such cynical materials apparently aimed at causing harm to children.”
